Moving abroad - I need to cancel two phone numbers

Hello,

My family are leaving Germany for good and we need to cancel our mobile phone contracts.

Now, the contract is to my husband’s name and we obivously have two phones/2 mobile numbers.

My question is:

Do we need to send 2x cancellation forms, 1 for each number - even though the owner is the same person-  or will it be enough to send 1x form only, writing both phone numbers on the form?

I will send in the documents via post, including both our Abmeldungs, but we only have 1x employment letter (to prove we will live abroad), as we are relocating for my husband’s job.

Please advise on what would be best to do to ensure the compnay will be hapy with the documents I send.

Thank you

Hi @Lillyputh,

welcome to our English community again.

Thanks for your request. I am happy to see that you have given already much thought to the cancellation process because of moving abroad.

If the owner of the contract is for both numbers the same, you only need to fill out the cancellation document once that you find here: cancellation because of moving abroad Please make sure that you write both numbers into the form.

Additionally to the cancellation, we need the following documents:

  • a registration certificate of your present place of residence (in Germany)
  • a notification of your new, foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months.

I hope that I could help you with this information.

If you have any further questions, just feel free to contact us here in our English community.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
