How old is your contract?
The runtime in Germany is normally 24 Month. If you cancel the contract within the 24 months, the contract will be terminated at the end of the 24 months. After the 24-month term, the notice period is 1 month.
It is as important when the contract was concluded to say whether the behavior of O2 is correct or not.
Hi, It was a monthly contract and it also stated on the termination letter that it would only be 30 days notice required.
So it is a contract with „flex“ in the name?
Do you use the www.o2.de/mein-tarif/kuendigung Link to cancel?
Do you rent any device with the contract e.g. Homspot? Do you send the device back to O2?

Yes it was ‘O2 Free Unlimited Smart Flex’ and it was a sim only contract.
I have the same problem, I have terminated my contract last June 12 2023, and now i am still recieving notice and being charged international amount monthly. I just want to ask have you already manage to solve your problem.
Hi Rodrigo12, I have not solved this yet, I have been sent 3 months bills now that I do not have to pay so it is up over 120 Euro! I have tried to contact them but it has not worked. I am out of the country now and do not have the phone active anyway.

Same problem. I have terminated my contract last May and i was told that the effectivity of the termination would be on June 12. At June 12 my mobline phone connection was cut already. How ever come July 6 i am still receiving a billing/invoices in an international rate given that i am already outside Germany. My bill is 275 euro now. It is really frustrating that i want to pay my invoice but afraid that next month i will be having one again.
Yes I paid up all of the notice period that was due, this was 2 months payment but I am refusing to pay any more as I am satisfying everything stated in the contract.

I had a look at the System and I have to inform you that your termination from March could not be accepted because some data did not match.

Your contract has been successfully canceled and deactivated. Invoices are always created afterwards, so maybe connections that were created beforehand were probably being billed. Please check your last bill to see which period was billed.

that is not the confirmation for your cancellation, but the confirmation that we have received your request for a cancellation. A response to this was also send out afterwards per letter, that should have reached you way back in March already. The cancellation was not entered into the system at that point in time, since information given in the cancellation request did not match the information that we have with the contract. So if you want to cancel the contract, then you should send in another cancellation request.

Hi @o2_Sven I have almost the same issue here please help me, I’m not in europe and I can’t call, I got a 3 euro bill for June and my flex contract finished in may is charging to my bank account and I hope it is the last bill I receive please could you see if it’s already canceled. My app account doesn’t even work anymore.

Hi @o2_Sven , I left Germany in March after I cancelled the account, so I wont and will never receive any letters. I provided all the requested information for the cancellation and I also paid everything that is due. I do not have the sim card or a phone now. I do not know how to even send in another cancellation request anyway, I no longer live in Germany.

you can use the online form to cancel your contract. Just make sure that the data that you enter is identical to the one that you can see for the contract within your mein o2, you should still have access to this after all.
