I bought my new phone with o2 SIM this year and currently have two following contracts:

  • Mobile Phone contract
  • Internet contract

The thing is my data volume is finishing pretty fast and now i am out of data. So if i want to terminate my current internet data plan, would there be a problem with my phone contract? I mean i will get a new data plan as soon as i cancel the current one. The phone contract will be the same as now right?

Moin Moin,

if you have a „normal“ contract without „FLEX“ in the name it is a 24 Month contract.

That means you could only cancel after 24 month (without FLEX).

If you choose a higher ratet contract, than it could be that O2 agree and change the old contract to the higher ratet contract.

Pleas wait for an O2 Mod. they could make you an offer for it.

Yes the credit for the phone is independent from the mobile contract.

Hi @hakuna98,

welcome in our o2 Community 💙
As @schluej already mentioned, our contracts have different durations. It sonuds like you have got a 24 month contract? 😄

In that case a contract extension of your data contract would be the thing you are looking for. Have you checked your my o2 page for contract extention offers?

Let me know if you got something there, otherwise I would look if we can send you an offer by mail.

Best regards,
Paul
