Do you receive an error message when you try to log in to the o2 app with your mobile phone number?
Hello @razvanpas2,
welcome to our community.
When you login into the app, do you do this with your registered phone number? If not, could be please try this in the app? With the number number it should work.
Best regards,
Michi
Hi Michi
Registered phone is not receiving 2fa SMS. Registered phone can receive SMS from my Telekom DE number.
Now is something new accessesing O2 website from a desktop PC. Looks like now I have to register again for an o2 account, but it asks for password received through SMS. - a dead end. I have a Multicard, but the SMSs are received, only the 2fa SMS are not received.
I am out. Can not get in.
Regards
Hi Bumer
While using the registered phone number to login in o2 app by SMS-code, I am not receiving SMS with 2fa.
Using the registered phone number to login in o2 app by username, it says I have no account (this is new status) and I need to register, but again here 2fa password is used.
Why is there only one option of 2fa? Even encripted web mails have a back up codes for login in when 2fa fails.
Regards
Has the problem been solved now?
Hi @razvanpas2, i am just as curious as Bumer. Is everything fine now?
Kind regards, Ines.
Hi
I have managed to identify one issue in my setup.
I have two devices:
Device 1 with non-o2 number
Device 2 is a Samsung O2 registered number, remotely accessed.
I had always both devices logged in to the O2 account to monitor the contract.
At some point, device 2 changed the default SMS app from Samsung Messages to Google Messages. Thus, 2fa messages on device 2 were not received as normal SMS, were received as a pop-up window.
So, to log in on device 1, it was not possible without receiving a SMS on device 2.
Can someone tell how I can set up a login with registered email address? Website is saying that this is an unknown email address. It worked before, but now it is not. Maybe I did some changes during troubleshooting, but now I do not know how to revert them.
First issue I had, is not an issue coming from O2, but I find that overall, is not a straightforward way to protect the account. A more relaxed way of login will be desired.
Having experience with other german carrier accounts, I have to emphasize that the O2 account is way more advanced to those of competitors. Is a really joy to manage it. Well done o2!
Register with your phone number.
Thank you Bumer for your quick responses
Hi @razvanpas2,
I wanted to ask if everything worked out and you can now log in?
Kind regards, Ines.
