Hi @liliczrz,
welcome back to our English Community.
I regret that you would like to cancel your contract.
Additionally to what @Bollermann already told you, please find here the instructions in order to cancel your contract because of moving abroad: Extraordinary cancellation because of moving abroad
As you see in the instructions, we still need the following documents:
- a deregistration certificate of your present place of residence in Germany
- a notification of your new foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
- your approval for us to charge the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months
Please fill out the cancellation form and send it together with the requested documents to the above mentioned address. Please do not forget to indicate your e-mail-address on the form so that we can contact you even after you moved to Denmark.
I hope I could help you with this information.
Loving greetings,
Tobias
Hi
thanks your message, my contract is already in the last 3 months so I assume I do not need the cancellation form as it wouldn't need to be charged.
I will send it by fax, so do I need still to send the deregistration form and my new residence proof?.. as I mentioned my contract is on the last 3 months.
cheers,
Hello @liliczrz,
thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, I have to inform you that we received your cancellation too late. It is true, you were in the last three months of your term. However, the cancellation must be received at least 3 months before the end of the term. The latest termination date would have been 03/16/2021 for the termination to be effective 06/17/2021. Unfortunately, your cancellation was not received until the end of March, which means that your contract was already in automatic renewal before then. Your cancellation has therefore now been confirmed as of 17.06.2022.
Therefore, I must now ask you to follow the path described by @o2_Tobias. Since you no longer live in Germany, you can terminate the contract early using the extraordinary termination due to relocation abroad.
So, yes you need to hand in the deregistration form and your new residence proof as well.
Kind regards,
Jessica
