I ordered an eSIM as a replacement for my current physical SIM card.

I was able to successfully scan the QR code for the eSIM.

And I followed instructions to activate the eSIM from the O2 Online portal.

But my eSIM is still showing as disconnected in the mobile phone.

At the same time, my physical SIM card has disconnected now.

So it looks like the activation request was partially completed i.e. the previous physical SIM card was deactivated, but the replacement eSIM has not been activated.

Could you please activate the eSIM.

It looks like after a few hours the eSIM has automatically activated, so it is working now.

Hello @User140520192052
Welcome back to our community 💙
Great, it seems to have taken a few hours for the activation to go through.
Is your eSIM now working properly?
Best regards

Kathi

Yes, it’s working fine now.

I ordered an eSIM as a replacement for my current physical SIM card as I move to iphone15

I takes 1 week for eSIM to arrive by post

I was able to successfully scan QR code for the eSIM.

And I followed instructions to activate the eSIM

But I get no internet, I try to troubleshoot by deleting eSIM and adding back again

But eSIM QR Code can only be used once

At the same time, my physical SIM card has disconnected now.

I dont want to loose another 1 week without any SIM card at all

Could you please activate the eSIM again ?

Hey @a1b2c3d4e5,

thanks for joining our o2 Community 💙

that sounds unfortunate, but we can deal with that. You need to activate a new eSIM profile. You should be able to order a new eSIM profile in “Mein o2” or if that suits you better in our “Mein o2” App which you can download from the app store.

Let me know if this works for you.

Best regards,
Paul

@o2_Kathi @o2_Paul

Dear O2, My physical SIM stopped working I have a prepaid o2 sim.

I ordered eSIM on 2nd October and I still didn’t receive any letter from o2 which contains QR Code. its 9th October today.

and today my physical stopped working. what should I do?

Regards
Shahzaib Ali

Hey @Shahzaib, welcome to our O₂ community 💙

I think the usual shipping time should be around five days for the eSIM-letter. Where did you order it? Was it through our Mein O₂ App

As far as I can see, the order is in progress. I suggest it is a bit delayed because of the holiday and the weekend. I guess you will receive the letter today or tomorrow. Check you mail and let me know, if it is not there then pls 😄

Best regards,
Paul

Hey @o2_Paul

from 2nd october its 10th october I havent received any letter and my physical sim also stopped working what should I do?

I ordered through o2 hotline as I am prepaid user and doesnt have a contract. I dont have the option to order from Mein o2 app.

Best Regards,

Shahzaib Ali

Hello @Shahzaib,

could you already receive the eSIM that you ordered or are you still waiting?

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Dear @o2_Gerrit,

I ordered again on last Friday, 11th October 2024 and am still waiiting.

Regards,
Shahzaib Ali

@Shahzaib I could take look, the letter with the QR code for your eSIM has been sent on the 12th October to the address connected with your prepaid number.

So was the first which did not arrive. Have you checked in your Mein o2 account, whether your address there is still the correct one?

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Dear @o2_Gerrit,

My address is correct on Mein o2 I checked. Its just send one. The first one I ordered on 2nd oct which arrived at 10th but due to some phone issue it did not work so I had to order again because the QR code on works once.

Beat regards,

Shahzaib Ali

Hello @Shahzaib,

if that happened with the first one, also the second one will arrive as it has the correct address, though it is already a long time on the way. I wish you that you will receive the QR code before the weekend and succeed in activating your eSIM finally 🙂

Best Regards,

Gerrit
