Download speed is 0,5 Mbits for my personal number while my Business Line has more than 100 mbits

For the last 2 days, my unlimited 300 GB speed mobile number is giving under 1 Mbits speed with esim. However within the same phone, I have my business line and it has more than 100 Mbits.

I tried to restart phone, enable / disable airplane modes but none of it fixed it.

I’m living in Haarxxxxxx with 6xxx postal code and I opened a support ticket but it’s not getting fixed either.

Can this be related to my esim or is it something in general?

Hello @FatalitY_88,

it is quite puzzling that you had a continuous connection with your business number in the same device, whereas your private number suffered such low speed.

Our busines and private contracts and number use the same network and reach the same speed, so it might have been a case where the obe SIM connected with a different station, which suffers an overload.

Please keep us posted if this happens again.

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Hello @FatalitY_88 ,

welcome to the o2 Community. It's nice that you've contacted us, even if the
reason is not a nice one. As this is a public community, I've hidden your address for
security and privacy reasons.

It sounds really frustrating that your mobile data is so slow. I can understand your frustration. It's great
that you've already been able to report the restriction and have also tested a different
SIM card. The other SIM card was also an o2 card? Have you received any feedback
on the ticket yet?

Best regards
Daniela

Hello @o2_Daniela,

First of all, thanks for your reply.

Regarding to your questions;

1- Yes, I have business number in my IOS device with a physcal sim but my private number is installed with an e-sim.

2- And yes, the ticket is closed with saying there was a temporary load in the area and O2 will aim to increase the bandwith in the future. But they never gave an answer why my business number didn’t affect in a bit while my private number was suffering.

I started to think business numbers have a prioritization once there is a load but letting other’s speed dropping to 0,5 Mbit must never be allowed.

Today, my both numbers have around 100 Mbit as it always have been.

I wish there is a way to confirm it but I think it’s a way of marketing and customer relation choice. Because Business Partners should come first which makes sense but THERE HAS TO BE LIMITS between those two.

Kind regards,

İlter
