Hello,
I want to deactivate my O2 prepaid card and packs. I only want to cancel my prepaid card and do not want the credit back. However, the online form is not working for me, and gives an error. Please let me know if there’s any other way to do so online. Thank You.
Hello
welcome to our community!
You can write us a short termination letter with your name, adress and your phone number to this adress if you want to deactivate you prepaid sim immediately:
Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
Kundenbetreuung
90345 Nürnberg
A termination letter is not mandatory, the prepaid sim will deactivate itself after a certain time.
Best regards,
Manuela
Thank you for your reply. Can you also tell me how long it will take to deactivate my sim card, without me sending the termination letter?
Hello
a prepaid SIM from us will be deactivated six months after the last time you topped up.
Regards,
Lars
Thank you so much for your reply!
Hi
Has the termination worked out as you had wanted? Let us know if you have any more questions regarding this topic
Best wishes,
Rebecca
Yes, I sent a letter to O2 Nurnberg, and my deactivation has worked out successfully. Thank you so much for your support.
Hello,
I also just moved away from Germany, and I’d like to deactivate my SIM card and close my account. I don’t have any remaining balance.
Can you deactivate my account?
Thanks so much!
Hello
I hope the move went well and relatively stress-free.
Do you have a prepaid card as well? If so, you can put the card aside and it will deactivate itself after 6 months of not being topped up. Alternatively you can send a short cancellation letter to:
Kundenbetreuung
90345 Nürnberg
Hello,

Hi,
my card is deactivated and I want to get the money back. How can I do this?
Ekaterina
Hey
Please take a look at this form to withdraw your credit. In the upper right corner it says where to send the document by mail. https://www.o2online.de/assets/blobs/pdfs/prepaid-guthabenauszahlung/
Please contact us if you need help with the translation!

Thanks! Is it possible that a friend of mine brings this form to one of o2 offices?
One more question - I mentioned that the balance now is smaller although the card was deactivated in January. Is it possible? I was not notified about any charges after the card deactivation unfortunatelly.
Best,
Ekaterina
Hi! I have not received an answer and would like to post my questions once again. Is it possible not to send the form but to bring it to the office (by my friend in Germany)? The second question is about the balance - I mentined that it became smaller since January when the card was deactivated. Why is this the case?
Hey
thanks for your patience.
Would you mind scharing the last 4 digits of the number you wanted to deaktivate?
I checked and the number you left us here, is not deaktivated?
So I was wondering if this is the aforementioned number, wether this could explain your balance which got smaller?
Also:
Is it possible that a friend of mine brings this form to one of o2 offices?
Also, if you check the form, you’ll find this information:
Bitte senden Sie den Auftrag vollständig ausgefüllt und unterschrieben zurück an:
Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG O2 Prepaid-Kundenbetreuung 90345 Nürnberg
I think it is easier, if you can’t send the form via E-Mail, for your friend to send it via Postmail.
Kind regards, Matea
Hi,
thanks. The last four digits are: 8512. I asked for deactivation of the number in January and I was told that it is deactivated.
About the form: is it an option to send it by email (not by mail)?
Best,
Ekaterina
Hey
thanks for your respond.
Your o2 my Prepaid M was deaktivated and your SIM Card was re-activated through internet usage on March.
So this could explain your lower balance.
About the form: is it an option to send it by email (not by mail)?
Please just need use this form and upload it afterwards: Kontaktformular (o2online.de)
Kind regards, Matea
Hi!
Thanks for the information. This is strange as I have not been using the SIM card since January. I might have connected once while transferring my accounts to the other moblie phone number but did not really used the card. Is it possible to see the details for all month starting from January? The balance was much bigger in January, single connection to the Internet does not explain me why the balance is significantly lower now.
Is that right that now the SIM card is deactivated and that the balance can’t become lower?
Where should I upload the form?
Thanks.
Hey
would you mind telling me how high the balance was in January?
Your tariff is deactivated and your SIM is deactivated as well.
But can be activated by a single use, within the next months (till September)
After that it is activated for good.
Kind regards, Matea
Hi,
it was about 40 euro. I have bank statements for the transfer of 30 euro on December 5 and of the same amount on October 28.
Thanks.
Best,
Ekaterina
Hey
as far as I can see.
You had a transfer at the beginning of December and your last o2 my Prepaid M Tariff was booked shortly after Christmas.
And if you used your phone, for example for calls beyond your tariff, it could have resulted to additional costs.
Have you checked your itemized bill?
Best, Matea
Hi Matea,
I did not use my phone for calls that’s why I’m surprised by the remaining budget. Normally I don’t use the phone much. Is it possible to check the bills for December and January?
Best,
Ekaterina
Hey
this is odd. Have you tried checking Mein O2?
You can also check our Prepaid Kontocheck for further details of recently made charges.

Hi Matea,
I just checked my balance. It is zero euro now. Several weeks ago it was 6 euro (I did not use SIM card and it was deactivated as you said). It means that all this time something wrong was going on with my account. How to solve this problem?
Thanks
