I ordered a new eSIM on my phone device, and by mistake I deleted it from the phone.
I’m not able to activate a new eSIM due to the fact that I have now the eSIM in “Pending status” (in app says “In Aktivierung”)
Cannot activate the eSIM since I don’t have in the mobile phone anymore and I’m stuck in the loop.
When I’m trying to scan the existing eSIM profile, the phone says: “Profile already downloaded”
Subject Code: 8.2
Reason Code: 1.2
Perhaps the profile needs to be deleted somehow, or something else...
Can someone help me there?

So, the status is:
I’m stuck with Ersatz-eSIM as it was described above and I cannot do much about it.
I ordered a new eSIM for a new device “Zusatz-eSIM”. Now when I try to activate it in the app, I’m receiving error. Not sure what to do right now :)
Any help regarding that is pretty very welcomed :)

It took it a while after it was solved by itself (several hours)
A lot of patience and multiple unsuccessfully attempts of trying to activate new eSIM’s, a lot of errors in the app and in the “Mein O2” browser portal, and quite a lot of work maintenance during the same time. Unlucky me :)

The phone used for the above situation was Pixel 6 (Android 12)
In the end, everything was solved and works flawlessly so far.

I'm having the same issue and it's really frustrating but I am relieved to know it worked out well at the end.
May I ask know it resolved itself? O2 has already created a new eSim for me but I'm not able to add it. Instead I get an error message "Profile already downloaded". Did you keep scanning the QR code or did you create multiple eSims before it finally worked?
Google support told me that I need to provide o2 with my EID number and they could solve the problem for me.

I just saw that you contacted o2 already today and that we informed our department that you cannot activate your eSIM.
I guess that you used your profile already. Therefore, I will send you another profile in order that you can activate your eSIM. The eSIM-profile will come within the next 5 days by letter. Please wait for the letter.

I hope you manage to activate your eSIM this time.

A few days ago, ordered eSim through the O2 app. Unfortunately, during the activation process I deleted it. Now I can't use because this message "Profiles already downloaded". For your information, I was already restore my Pixel 6 Pro but the result is same. What should I do to resolve this issue? TIA

the profile is one-use. Are you able to order another profile via the contracts mein o2? If you can that should solve your issue, else we’ll need to take a closer look and manually send one out.

Hi @o2_Tobias @o2_Giulia @o2_Micha , I am having the same problem. I deleted the esim thinking it wasn’t done properly but now I am getting email that the sim card is activated but I am not able to use it. I tried to scan again but it says profile already downloaded. Can you please help me?
You now need a new QR code which you can request from customer service. It will be sent by letter.
