I'm extremely frustrated trying to cancel the Surf Upgrade L. Apart from seeing it in my invoice there seems to be almost no trace of this upgrade being booked in the o2 app or website. Please cancel it for me as you did for other users and please also state what are the official possibilities to cancel it.

Normally you can cancel any additional option in “Mein o2”: https://www.o2online.de/goto/optionen/
If you encounter problems there, please let us know what kind of error message you are getting. We will then be happy to cancel the option for you.
