Vodafone changes cables in my house

Dear O2 team,

Recently an employee of Vodafone came to our home and said that Vodafone is changing the cables for the whole house. He said it means that the O2 DSL internet that I have now will not work after the cables are changed. I want to check with O2 whether this is true. If Vodafone changes the cables, does it really mean I have to change my internet?

Best,

I.K.

@ikrom Let me guess.  And he wanted to help you and you should sign something somewhere?  To switch from O2 to Vodafone.

Vodafone cannot disconnect the telephone cables over which your VDSL runs.

No. It probably wasn't a Vodafone employee but a reseller representative trying to trick people into signing a contract.

Hi @ikrom

Welcome to our o2 Community.

I can reassure you, it was just a cheap trick to get you to sign a new contract.

Did you sign any paper or did the guy just left?

Best Regards Matze

Thank you all for responding.

I did not sign anything with them because the salesman sounded suspicious.

Best,

I.K.

Hi @ikrom ,

that’s good news! Just yesterday I’ve experienced almost the same thing, by the way. :zipper_mouth:

Thanks for your reply  :hugging:

Best regards,
Kurt
