Hello Sankara,
welcome to our community.
If there is no appointment no technician will be visit customers and ask for personal or bank data. Do you maybe have the name and the time of the visit which you can send us in a private message?
Best regards,
Michi
My wife did not note down the Telecom technician name. He came to our apartment(2nd floor) on 11.01.2022 at around 15:25 Hrs. The technician also tried to get the connection details from other flats(I personally verified with 1st floor flat) in the same apartment building. Thanks.
Note: I could not send private message to @o2_Michi

In case we need to write abount names, we switch to our private messages @o2_Support, but I just looked into your account and there is no appointment from a technician in january 2022.
Did you maybe receive any confirmation-emails for other contracts, perhaps in the spam-inbox? Just to make sure everything’s okay.
Best regards,
Michi
I know these guys. Stand for my door I thing 6 months ago too. Say too German Telekom (have Telekom clothes on). But I see the little ID card with Ranger Marketing on it. I let him tell 5 Minutes stupid things and kick him after out of the house.
The guy want your information to move the Internet connection to German Telekom and get the provision.

Hi I just experienced same thing. I didn’t register or sign, but I gave them my landline number, my name, email and date of birth but when they ask. IBAN, i think it’s very strange. in the end I kick them out without signing anything.
now my question is that they have my landline number, name, data of birth and email. I would like to request to change my landline number? How do I do that?
Hey @YellowCat ,
welcome to the community and great that you are reporting this incident.
So, did you have an apiontment regarding your DSL Connction? And as o2_Michi already asked:
“Did you maybe receive any confirmation-emails for other contracts, perhaps in the spam-inbox? Just to make sure everything’s okay.”
Did you recieve any phone calls or did you get in contact with the Telekom and asked them about this incident?
If they can confrim this incident as a “marketing strategy”, I would not worry that much and would not consider changing your number.
Best, Matea
