You can check your emails with every mail program available.
Please note that o2 mail is only available with contracts that have been concluded before the 13th December, 2012.
We generally suggest you to use an IMAP-based set-up, since this protocol contains functions that are not available with POP3, e. g. it is possible to move spam mails directly without transferring them to your computer.
 

The settings vary, depending on your e-mail address:

Email addresses with @o2online.de
If you´re not sure wich settings should be used, you can reveal them via your Webmail account.
Therefore go to: Anmelden - Webmail 7.0

Webmail Login

Login into Webmail
username (Benutzername) = phonenumber of your contract or a choosen username (some landline contracts)
password = password of your mailaccount

In the Webmail overview you can navigate to the gear on the left side of the page:

When you got into the settings you will find more index tabs on your left side, just right next to the gear icon. In these tabs you will already see the option “POP/IMAP” click there to get an overview of your settings for IMAP, SMTP, POP3:

Email addresses @o2online.de

Your mail program has to be compatible with SMTP authentication in order to send e-mails.

Username / Application ID / Account name: your full e-mail address with o2. That may be your mobile phone number together with @o2online.de ( e.g. 01761234567@o2online.de) or another name you chose yourself together with @o2online.de.

IMAP
Without encryption:
Incoming mail server: mail.o2online.de
Port: 143

With encryption SSL:
Incoming mail server: mail.o2online.de
Port: 993

POP3
Without encryption:
Incoming mail server: pop.o2online.de
Port: 110

With encryption SSL:
Incoming mail server: pop.o2online.de
Port: 995

SMTP
Without encryption:
Outgoing mail server: smtp.o2online.de / smtp.o2mail.de Port 465
Port: 25 or 1025

With encryption SSL:
Outgoing mail server: smtp.o2online.de
Port: 465

With encryption TLS:
Outgoing mail server: smtp.o2online.de
Port: 587

Please enable the option "Server erfordert Authentifizierung".
