Dear all,

 

Currently I have o2 dsl at home with 100 mbps. I would like to upgrade this to o2 home L with 250 mbps. However I have a technical question related to current line:

 

1) current DSL attainable speed is max shown as 124370 kbit/s in fritzbox 

 

If I now book a 250 mbps package , I presume it wouldn't sync because of the line limit  to any higher value right ? 

 

I just want to avoid headache afterwards  .. paying for o2 L and speed of only o2 M

More info incase relevant:

Connection type: VDSL2 17a G.Vector (ITU G.993.5)

Distance to exchange: 252m

You have MyHome L 100mbits and want to switch to Home L 250mbits for 44,99€? 

Which Router did you have? 


I have o2 myHome M which is 100 mbit and would like to switch to L which should give 250 bits down. 

 

I have a fritzbox 7590

Hello @GreenEngineer,

we would be happy to make you an offer for a tariff change to the o2 Home L. The connection will then run via S-VDSL, so a higher speed is also possible.

We will send you the offer with the tariff details by email in the next few days. Please check whether you have a current email address on file with us.

If everything is OK, you can order the tariff change via a link in the email. Please note that your contract term will then be extended by another 24 months (from the day of the change). The change usually takes two to three weeks.

Hi @o2_Kathi , good morning

Thank you for following up. I have decided to not opt for the offer provided as it would take away my 5 euro discount on top of Kombi-vorteil which runs till October 2025. 

I will wait incase there will be some promotion or switch at a later stage.
