Hi,

I have been O2 Homespot in Bonn area since 3 months. The internet speed is very poor (28 Mbps) and internet goes disconnected after every 5 minutes. It takes forever to open a new website.

Please help. I am unable to attend my office work.

Thanks,

T

Hello,

please check your adress here https://www.o2online.de/netz/netzstoerung/

If everything is okay may I could help you to find a better place for your Homespot. So may you could give me a side road?

Best regards

dSkill

Dear dSkill,

A base station in the vicinity reports restrictions. The internet is slow and I am not able to post image. The Pin code is 53177.

Thanks.

Not sure where are you located but you have lot of sites in your city and may you could use another one. I have the same issue at my house and I get 300 :D

If you give me a bystreet it would be easier. You sity has lot of sites so i’m sure it would be possible.

I live in Truchseßstraße , 53177.

The O² “störungsmelder” don’t detect any restrictions in your street.

You have 2 sites which you could use ( Eisen Sonntag, Godesberger Straße, 80, Bonner Straße, Alt-Godesberg) may you could try different places or use an antenna to get better connection.

At WWAN LTE/3G Status you can see connection information may you would like to share this too?

Regards dSkill

Hi,

I don’t know where to get this information. I am using O2 Homespot device and apologies i don’t know how to change my site.

Can you help me.

Thanks

Hi @UnlockTP ,

I’ll try my best to help you :)

You can show this information here: http:192.168.1.1

It shows lot of connection information. This will help to move your router and may we’ll get better download speeds and more stable connection.

Hi @dSkill ,

It shows the message :(

Page cannot be found

This can have the following causes:

  • A typo has crept in
  • The site has moved
  • The page no longer exists

Hi @UnlockTP ,

you can also try o2.spot

dSkill

Hi @dSkill  - But what will I do on o2.spot?

Thanks,

T

@UnlockTP ,

you opened http://o2.spot at your browser?

You can see this information “WWAN LTE/3G Status“

Regards

@UnlockTP Make a screenshot from this site for us.

Hi @dSkill @Joe Doe

i cannot open it on my laptop, I tried opening it on my phone browser and these are the details -

@UnlockTP You are connected with the BTS Bonner Str. Try over location. But I prefer the BTS Bonner Str. because a Band 3 only BTS.

@Joe Doe - So what do i do now? If BTS Bonner Str is better, I am still facing problem with this network.  My internet is very very slow.

@UnlockTPYou can move your router near this station e.G. to a window near the BTS Bonner Str. you can check the connection strength and cell id at the o2.spot page.

@dSkill Hello again,

I don’t think it will help much because my house is between 62871 and 67727.. Can u change my connection Tower to other one? I cannot do it my own as this o2.spot is not opening my laptop web browser and i don’t see an option to change my tower in mobile browser.

Thanks.

Hello @UnlockTP,

if you change your router to another location and the connection is better he will move to another BTS.

you can check the Cell-ID at the page on your phone.

Regards

dSkill

Hi @UnlockTP ,

the HomeSpot acts as any other mobile network device. The HomeSpot will try to choose the best available tower, there no excpetions for that wich we could set.

The LTE_Node itself does not show high workload or any incidents. Have you tried a different location in either direction to see what works best?

Thanks for your time and replies, @dSkill & @Joe Doe !

Best regards,
Kurt
