O2 Internet Activation


I have applied for new O2 internet connection on 20th dec 2023 and activation date given to me is 15 jan 2024. Can the activation done sooner?

To give background, I am new tenant to the house where I have asked for new O2 connection. Previous tenant who vacated this house on 30 Nov 2023 also had O2 internet connection and he has deactivated the Internet line before vacating the house. So the line already exists and its matter of changing the connection to my name and activating it.

 

My request is whether the activation can be done sooner than waiting till 15 jan 2024. Technician visit is also not required in my opinion.

If you haven’t gotten an info concerning the Line-ID and a faster activation then the 15th of January represents the earliest possible date already.

How to ensure that O2 team is aware of Line-ID and it was considered before providing activation date of 15th Jan?

Hello @SharathK ,

the Line-ID is something that only you can provide, and if it was relevant for your address you would have been informed about providing it shortly after you had ordered the contract. If you got no communication by SMS or E-Mail concerning a Line-ID(Leitungs-ID) then this is not possible at your address and the 15th of January is the earliest possible date for activation.

I have fritzbox 6660. The activation date was supposed to be today 08/04 but its still the same no internet. How long does it take? Do they send a confirmation that its been activated?

when i try to open google or any browser it sends me to o2 page saying “everything is prepared, keep the router on and wait for activation” which is today but there’s no news i also recieved a message to wait this morning but how long is it gonna take?

It didnt work. I did the factory reset and still no internet. It still opens the same page “wait for activation"

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

If the activation date has passed and the line isn’t up and running then you should contact the technical department and report that there is an issue with your connection. If you want we can also take a look at your contract, but if things aren’t working at all, then this is probably something that might need a technician to come out to you.
