Hello can someone please please help me.
My o2 5g homespot arrived today. Ive activated the sim with a pin and tried to connect. First of all, it lets me connect to the wifi then comes up with the “wilkommen” page where i have to type in the other password for the user interface on the back. No matter what i do, if i reset the box etc, the other password on the router DOES NOT WORK.
please someone help me i really need wifi set up asap!!

Did you also use a German keyboard?

Write the password into an editor, check it, and copy it.

Yes, i managed to log on. I activated my pin (yesterday already), and changed the wifi password as instructed in the handbook. However my router wont connect to the internet:/

Hi! It seems to be working okay now. I got an email with my landline phone number and it has worked. Thanks very much for your quick responses. I just wanted to ask- if i turn on data roaming for my internet could i face additional charges? Also, could it make my internet speed quicker? Any tips to make it faster/better connection. Because i have quite a weak connection here

Roaming is not possible with o2 Home FMS tariffs. The SIM card is allowed to be used only at the contractually agreed usage address.

Good morning @Skinnywhale34 😊

Great that you found your way here. Welcome to our community.

I'm very happy to read that your router is now working 🤗 What exactly did you change or set differently?

blablup is right, roaming is not possible with o2 Home FMS tariffs.

To improve reception, you can see if a different location for the Homespot gives you a faster connection. It's also best to place the Homespot on a shelf or at least higher up on the wall so that you can use the full Wi-Fi signal. Feel free to try this out and see if it improves the situation.
