I will be moving to a new apartment in 2 months. The new apartment has option for fiber optic connection but it will be available only post June due to construction issues. Since I often work from home, what options can I choose to ensure smooth internet connection for my work.

you can use the link from MXP_Alex to check the internet availability at your adress. If its ready for fibre there are three tariffs with special offers for fibre with six month zero fee. 😀
If you need a very good bandwith maybe the o2 Home XXL is something for you with 1 Gbit/s down and 500 Mbit/s up.
