The internet connection in my area is extremely bad (Dresden 01067). The customer care hotline only speaks in German. The internet keeps dropping 5-6 times in a day. How can I terminate my contract with the internet provider or is there any solution for this issue because this is happening since last 6 months?
Best,
Manoj

Hello @reddymanoj and welcome to our o2 Community :-)

I am sorry to hear that you have issues with your DSL landline connection.

Could you describe what exactly happens with the router in the moment the connection seems to drop? Is the device that you experience this outage with connected via wifi or via LAN-cable?

If this happens to a device connected via wifi, what happens at the same time with a device that is connected via LAN-cable?

Regards,

Lars

Hello Lars,
I have multiple devices phones, laptops which are connected to the wifi. I have tried connecting the LAN cable directly to one of my laptop for a test and even then the connection drops some times. The default message pops up no internet connection after 3-5 mins then things start to work normally again as the connection gets picked up.
Best Regards,
Manoj

Hi @reddymanoj

Our o2 my service app can support you with connection problems
You can download the app for your smartphone for free here (you can switch to english language after installation)
Then you can use the app to check your DSL connection for errors.
If the app cannot fix the error, it generates a process number,
with which you can then report to the “DSL Störungs hotline“ (in case of a mailfunction),
where the colleagues will then take an error ticket with you to check your connection (the app will show you the number)

When calling our customer support Hotline please remember that it is possible that you wont get a colleage on the phone who speaks english, so

if you are not comfortable or able to speak german, please ask a friend to call in your name.

Best Matze

@reddymanoj I have the exactly same problem, here in Potsdam (14467). Did you end up solving the issue following the O2 answer. I tried the app, it is useless but I got the process number. The hotline is basically just an automatic messaging system. I wonder if you are still using O2 or have switched. If switched, which provider did you switch to?

Thanks,

Hello @muyanzi and welcome to our o2 community :-)

If you encounter issues with your DSL connection that can’t be solved by using our o2 my Service app I recommend contacting our technical DSL departement. If you stay on the phone after you are recommended to use the app you will be tranfered to an agent.

You can also use WhatsApp or our Chat to contact us, we have several possibilities of contacting us. :-)

Regards,

Lars
