Hi,  I own a O2 DSL connection, which I am using from past 1 year. I received a notice from my residence office (I live in a student dormitory), that I will not be able to use any private internet in the future, as they will be providing internet on their own as it is a special circumstance.

They have a private contract with 1&1 to provide internet to rooms and no private connections will be allowed anymore. I will not be able to use my O2 DSL in the future and hence I wrote a letter & the documents for the reason of cancellation on 28th March to the address

1) Letter of cancellation ( signed )
2) Notice from studentenwerk office. 

I would like to check the status of my cancellation. I would be grateful for your help.

welcome to our community. My colleagues already sent you a letter in April 2020. You contract will be finished to November 25th 2020. Even though you can’t use it anymore you have to pay the basic charges until the end. The Studentenwerk wasn’t right that you can cancel prematurely. The only important thing for an early cancellation is the free port in the main distribution box. As long as the address is provided there is no chance for an early cancellation. The line inside the building is irrelevant for the question of termination.
