Earlier Activation Date

Hello team, I had ordered for a new O2 cable connection and received the modem today.  However, the activation date is almost a month from now. The mail I received also said a technician appointment is not required. 

Considering the following, would it be possible to activate my connection sooner? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once your order status is "Installation completed," you can connect your router. If the O₂ homepage is visible, you can request an earlier appointment by phone. Please note that this appointment will be scheduled two working days in future, starting from the date of your request. Immediate activation is not possible.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but by homepages do you mean the fritz.box page? If not, how and what should be visible in the O2 home page? And when I do, which number should I contact to get an expedited activation?

no worries, good that you ask. 😄

What my colleague meant is the “Mein O₂” Website. After the login you can navigate to your orders and there you will find the order status of your cable contract. If it says “installation completed”, you can go on like o2_Manga told. 

If you don’t have an Mein O₂ account, you can simply register as a cable contract customer by using your landline number. If you have issues with that, let me know, we will find a solution. 😊

Hello team, continuing on this topic. I realised the reason why I don't see the O2 homepage when I connected my router as soon as I received it (activation date is in the first week of December) is probably because my power/cable light has been blinking. And because I don't land on the homepage, I can't seem to prepone activation either. What should I do?

the status of your cable connection as of now is not installation completed but provision confirmed, therefore the light is still blinking and an activation only possible on 5th December.

So, now the activation day was yesterday and I received a mail saying the activation is complete. But we still haven't been able to connect to the internet and the power/cable light is still blinking. We are at a loss of how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your new connection isn't working after activation, please contact our English-speaking customer support on 089/66 66 300 81 directly.

They will check your connection, create a trouble ticket for you, and send a technician if necessary.
