Hi!

I’m writing here because I’m not really navigating the website well in German. I hope someone could help me - I moved into a new flat and took over DSL from a previous tenant that was some kind of XS package with limited data. I would like to upgrade to L but if I try to do that via website, adding O2 my Home L is 24,99 € per month because of some combo deal (I also have a cell phone contract with O2) and some kind of Anschlusspreis of 69,99 € which also requires me to book an appointment again. I’m not sure if this is the right way to go as I already have the connection and a router.

Thanks!

Edit o2_Larissa: transfer to English o2 Community: Broadband / DSL

Hello @angelicahoyss an welcome to our o2 community :-)

Rigzt now it unfdortunately is not in every case possible to change the DSL contract online. If you like, we can have a look into this and change the tariff with ancontract extension.

Did you already have a look at our Internet availability check what DSL speed and tariff is available at your address?

Regards,

Lars

Hi @o2_Lars, thanks for your message. I did, it shows it’s available at my address. It’s just not possible to checkout without selecting an appointment and I already have a connection. I would like to know if there is a data cap on the L package because I couldn’t find that either and I would need either a flat rate or something reasonable 😉 Thanks and best wishes!

That is online not possible, only here via forum, or via telephone (ask a German speaker to do it for you)

Hi @angelicahoyss

there´s no data cap on the“myHome L” package :-)

Kind regards,

Sandra

Hi @o2_Sandra! Thanks for your message. How can I upgrade please? Thanks!

Dear @angelicahoyss

I have sent you an offer for the o2 My Home L to the email address we have on file. What do you think about it?
If you like the offer, you can order it directly via the link in the email, just click on the button in the email "Vertrag verlängern".

In accordance with the transparency regulation, I would like to draw your attention to our product information sheets, which you can download at www.o2.de/produktinformationsblatt . There you will find all product details listed again (without discounts).

Kind regards,

Andrea

Dear, @angelicahoyss ,

have you already checked my offer?

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi @o2_Andrea Thanks so much for sending the offer. This wouldn’t work for me as it’s more expensive than the offer I got once I tried to sign up online, and I am already paying quite a lot for my phone contract. I’d like the 24.99 for existing customers like in the screenshot attached. Thanks for your help!

Hi @o2_Andrea, I’d like to follow up on my previous message - what did you think of it? Thanks!

Hi @angelicahoyss

thanks for your patience.

You are totally right. We forgot the combination-benefit of 10 € in our offer. This was no bad intention. I hope you are not angry. :grimacing:

I just have sent another corrected offer to you by e-mail.

Please be aware of the fact this offer includes also the price of your Fritzbox 7490. Therefore, the end-price is not 24,99 €, but 28,98 € per month.

Pursuant to the decree of transparency I need to inform you about our tariff leaflets which you can download here: http://g.o2.de/travo. There you'll find all details of the product listed.

If you would like to accept this offer, please click the button in the e-mail and follow the instructions.

I hope you agree now to this offer.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

@o2_Tobias Hi Tobias, not at all - thanks so much for getting back to me and sending the offer.

I have just one more question - I do already have the lovely red Fritzbox 7490, and online I was able to opt out of that, but I don’t see that option in the offer you sent. Would you be able to help with that?

Thanks!

@o2_Tobias Hey Tobias, any news on this? I’d really appreciate if you could help with this asap - it’s already been over a month since my initial question. Thanks!

Hi @angelicahoyss

thanks for coming back to us and thanks for your patience.

So, this means that you would like to have an offer without any router? Or do you like to continue using your current router?

If you like to keep your router, we will continue charging you with 3,99 € per month. We will not send a new Fritzbox 7490 to you.

I will send you the offer again with your current and without a router.

Then, you can choose the option you wish for yourself.

Pursuant to the decree of transparency I need to inform you about our tariff leaflets which you can download here: http://g.o2.de/travo. There you'll find all details of the product listed.

If you would like to accept one of these offers, please click the button in the e-mail and follow the instructions.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Dear @angelicahoyss ,

have you had a chance to look at the offer of @o2_Tobias?

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi @o2_Andrea @o2_Tobias

Thanks for your message.

I’m really not sure I understand - I am currently paying 2,99 per month for my router which I’m happy to continue using. I would like to upgrade upgrade my tariff to L - 24,99 € mtl. and continue using my router. In @o2_Tobias last offer, I don’t see where I can choose that. I can only “one click on 24,99 € offer” and there is no possibility where I can choose which service I’d like for my router. I have never paid 3,99 € for the router. Could you please send the correct offer? Thank you!!

Dear @angelicahoyss ,

the lowest price in a contract extension for the FitzBox 7490 is currently 3.99 euros. That's why we can only offer you this price.

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi @o2_Andrea, alright, sounds good, thanks for that. Could you please send the contract extension link to this option then? (24,99 €  + 3.99 for the router). Thanks!!

Hi @angelicahoyss

thanks for your patience.

I have just sent the offer “o2 my Home L Kombi” together with the Fritzbox 7490 by e-mail to you again.

This means that you do not receive a new Fritzbox, but that you will keep your Fritzbox 7490 with the monthly rate of 3,99 € per month.

Pursuant to the decree of transparency I need to inform you about our tariff leaflets which you can download here: http://g.o2.de/travo. There you'll find all details of the product listed.

If you like to accept this offer, just feel free to click the button of the e-mail.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @angelicahoyss

I just wanted to check if the tariff-change of your DSL-contract was fine?

If you have any further questions, just let me know.

By the way, tomorrow you will also have a flatrate into all mobile phone-connections for free. :hugging:

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @o2_Tobias, thanks for following up, everything worked our well, thanks for that.

For English speaking folks I just wanted to mention that if you change your tariff you’ll have to log into your Fritz Box interface and go to ‘assistant’ in the nav bar and then put in again your username and password (I think it’s the same one you got in the email once you signed up initially for O2.)

The regular email confirmation just says “Have fun with your new tariff” and then you’ll be stuck in your home office without internet. 🙂 Not the best experience from O2. The credentials will, of course, come in via the snail mail probably a week later. 🙂 Viel spaß!
