DSL Contract extension


Hello! I had the same problem so I figured I could post here too. I tried to do this online but the website tells me to schedule a visit, but I a connection. Currently I have the contract for the O2 DSL Classic S Professional and I would like to change to a XL tariff. Not necessarily a professional plan, since I don’t even know what’s the difference.

Can I do this online and how long does it take for the plan to start working? I have the fritzbox 7490 router.

the difference is that with your current professional tariff you have a free web and mail profile. This would all go away if you switched to a private customer tariff.
It is possible for you to switch to an o2 My Home XL, but you will need a router that supports vectoring. We offer the FritzBox 7590 for this, you can then no longer use the old FritzBox 7490. If necessary, please send it back to us via the returns portal.
If you would like to get your own router or rent one from us, you will have to pay a monthly rental fee of 5.99 euros, as well as a one-time installation fee of 69.99 euros and shipping costs of 9.99 euros for the new router.

After the order ist set, it can take up to three weeks until the tariff is switched over.
