When you ordered your DSL Contract you should have been able to choose if you want to receive a modem/router unit to go along with your contract for a small monthly fee. You can of course also use your own one, Here it is important that you choose a model that fits to the connection that you have ordered from us. Are you getting a DSL or Cable connection and which contract did you get, for the my Home XL with it’s higher speed you would need a model that is capable of Supervectoring.

I do not remember if I selected the option to get a modem or not. Is there any way that I could cross check that?

you should be receiving several documents for your new contract, among those should also be a list of everything that is included within your order. If you elected to receive a unit from us, then it would be listed there.
