Change from cable to dsl

Hello, I recently moved to a new apartment and had gotten a contract for cable internet. The website showed that only cable was available for my apartment but now that I’ve moved I see that there is only a dsl connection available. Since I did it in advance it supposedly has already been activated but I don’t have a way to use it. Is it possible for me to change my contract since cable isn’t available?

Your move was confirmed with cable even though there's no connection? 🤔

The Verfügbarkeit tool showed cable being the only option at my address but in the apartment itself there is only a dsl connection present.

Cable television is not the same as a cable connection. What about my other question?

Hello @Danielgbcr,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

Thank you for contacting us about your new connection.

A cable connection is definitely available in your building, but unfortunately, we don't know in advance whether the owner has connected all apartments. Do I understand correctly that there's no cable outlet in your apartment? It's often hidden behind cabinets, etc.

I've checked DSL availability at your address, but unfortunately, in addition to cable, we can only offer ADSL with a maximum bandwidth of 16 Mbps.

If you really want to switch, we can arrange that for you. However, it would then take another three to four weeks.

Alternatively, you can report an internet outage, and our team can check if a line can be installed. Therefore, please contact our customer service by phone (we also speak English).

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Best regards

Giulia
