Hi,

I used the online portal to cancel my contract and have also attached the Abmeldung document to it. But I still have no idea if my contract is cancelled and from what date. Could you please provide me an update regarding the situation?

How long has it been since you submitted your notice of termination due to moving abroad?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I got an automated reply which confirmed the receipt of termination but I am not sure if it's the correct one. I submitted it last week on Wednesday.

Processing a termination abroad takes a little time.
A response can take up to 2 weeks.
Please be patient for a few more days.

Hi Maria,

My contract was terminated on 28th November. I also got the termination letter in the email. However, I was still charged for the month of December. Could you please let me know why did this happen?

Please read all pages of the invoice. The invoice is the PDF document that you can download in ‘Mein o2’. You should be able to see the period for which you are being charged. As today is only 12 December, it cannot be the month of December. The calculation is always made retrospectively and not in advance.

as blablup exdplained, our bills are made retrospectively, so if your contract ended on 28th November, the bill will be charged in December.

Were you charged the full amount as usual or a lesser amount? If the full amount it can be that it was for a period up to 20tgh November, for example, and there is going to be another bill in January.
