Hi,

I want to cancel my DSL contract with O2 and I have some questions about the procedure:

1) Is there any standard template to fill? (I am not moving abroad)

2) Do I need to send my request of cancellation to the address below?

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

Überseering

22297 Hamburg

3) Do I have to return the router? I thought that I bought when I activated my contract. In case I have to return it, could you please provide the address for the return? Could you please provide all the details for the return process?

Many thanks.

Hello mc.delorenzo,

For a normal cancellation you do not need to fill out a special form.

You can just write it by yourself. Don't forget your account number and all the necessary details. ☺️

And yes, the address is correct. ✅

For the router I have these information for you:

You can check it here if you need to send back your router: Click

If the matrix says the router has to be returned you will find a shipping label free of charge to print right there.

If it doesn’t work please go www.dsl.o2online.de/retoure

Take good care of the return slip! Please dispose after one year if the router might get lost.

Kind regards,

Jessica ☺️

I want to cancel my DSL service as well. So, I need to first send a letter stating that I wish to cancel my contract . What all details do I need to state in the letter except my kundennummer? And then do I send the router only after receiving a confirmation letter from O2? is that how it works ?
I have one question. Did you have a Flex Tariff (zero months contract) or normal Tariff. (24 months contract)
mine is a flex tariff (4 weeks) contract.
Good. Short contract time. After you cancel your contact by post, you can ask 1-2 weeks your status here. If you send back the router after the contract really end use the O2 return portal (you get status information from your return over Email) Keep the DHL receipt paper minimum 1 year.
thank you for the answer. 🙂
