I’ve recently ordered a new landline contract and it’s going to be activated on February. In the status of the order it says that I won’t need a technician for the installation, but just in case, I’ve noticed that my current contact (mobile) phone number it’s wrong and I can’t change it, so should I need to be contacted it would be impossible. The problem may be that I’ve tried to use an italian mobile number, but that’s the only phone number I have right now. 

How can I change it?

The contact adress and phone number have to be German, therefore it is not possible to change it to an Italian number online.

If no technician visit has been announced, you can leave it as it is for the time being and, after activation, enter your new landline number as the contact number.

Alternatively, you could also order our free o2 test card. This allows you to test the o2 mobile network free of charge for one month, and you have a German mobile number with it.

Thank you Giulia, you've been really helpful, I've ordered a test card just in case. It won't probably be necessary, but should I need to change the number before the activation of the line, can I use the number of the test card (once I have received it of course)? And if so, how?

once you have received and activated the SIM card, you can either have the contact phone number changed directly via our English-speaking support team or through us 😊
