Cabel connection limited on XXL plan

Hello,

Today I activated cable internet “my Home XXL” and maximum speed should be 1000/50. But there is no way to achieve such speed as overall cable connection is limited by 512/25.

Yeap this pass minimal speed by contract but at the same time never will pass “normal” and “max” declared speeds.

Checked wire inside apartment and speeds never changed. Downstream errors rate looks always the same so I thinking this is limitation at provider side.

Could O2 please clarify such limitation and fix it.

Hey @C.H.A.D.o ,

Your connection looks okay you have a lot of errors but this should not be the issue.

Hello @C.H.A.D.o ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

That is the first time I’ve seen an XXL that only delivered ~500 MBit/s instead of the full 1 GBit/s. Of course a little bit of difference in speed itself isn’t surprising but you seem to be set at a steady and stabile 500. That should definitely not be the case.

Have you already had contact to the technical department concerning your connection? Else I’d advise you do open a ticket with the concerning the speed.

Kind regards, Sven

Hey @o2_Sven

Thank you, after a call to the tech department they created Ticket ID XXXXXX.

@dSkill found the issue why I have a lot of “non-correctable errors”. There were a mess inside wall cable-socket and ground shield had bad connection. This is not fix speed issue but now have zero “non-correctable errors” after half of the day

Edit o2_Sven 01.09.2022/16:29: Removed personal information

And quick update here, on Monday 9:00am router was restarted and speed become 1100/55. Internet speed 920/50. Ticket closed :D

Thank everybody
