DSL Contract Termination-Move out of Germany


Hi Team,

 

I checked few threads on community however need detail help

 

I need to move out of Germany on 31st January 2022 & then only I can provide de-registration proof but i can share some proof like new country visa etc  

 

  1. Can I send termination request via mail ? if yes mail id ? if not then link for form.
  2. Is it possible to avoid 3 months of basic fees since I am requesting more than 1 moth earlier ?

please take a look at our FAQ:

Even though not every mentioned document is available just now, please send over what you have nonetheless. The fee is currently subject to change, our cancellation department will be able to tell you more about the current status which will apply for your cancellation.

We have no form for DSL-Cancellations and no online variant for that process, I’m afraid. A simple letter with a short cancellation and explanation should still be enough, though.

meanwhile If I request for dis-connection now with ABMEDDUNG will internet will be working for 3 months since I might need to pay 3 months charges or will that get disconnected immediately ?

Hello @Ishwar,

since on December the first new laws were passed there is only one month base fee to pay. If you send any available information as already suggested you will reciev an answer where you will find further details regarding the deactivation date :-)

Can you confirm if O2 has received my termination request & that has been noted from O2 end.

 

I sent letter 10-12 days ago , yet to get any reply.

Hello @Ishwar,

we sent you a letter on January 6th, 2022 confirming receipt of your cancellation and requesting the deregistration certificate. Have you already received it?

@o2_Giulia Thanks for your reply. I have NOT received any letter from O2. I have de-registration letter but Internet need to be disconnected from 31st January only as my family is still there until 31st January. 

Let me know mail id where i can send my de-registration letter or do you need me to send by post ?

I will have the letter sent to you again.

You can send in the deregistration either by letter or fax:

Fax: 01805571766

Since the notice period for early cancellations is one month, this will be charged after the deregistration has been handed in.

@o2_Matze  Thanks for response. I have sent de-registration via post & also requested to stop auto debit as my bank account will be closed.

How should i send router ? any QR code i will get over mail to handover box to DHL ?

Hello @Ishwar,

please use our returns portal to return your router. Here you can also print out a return sticker or download a mobile parcel label as a QR code. The return is made with DHL and is free of charge.

@o2_Giulia Router will be sent in few days meanwhile can you confirm receipt of de-registration from my end. hopefully internet is already dis-connected.

your deregistration was received and your contract is cancelled by tomorrow. A confirmation is also on its way, maybe you have already received it meanwhile.
