Contract cancellation - moving abroad - issues

Dear 2,

For three months I've been trying to cancel my contract with o2 because I'm moving abroad.
So, last week, after many attempts to contact o2, they asked me to resend some documents and a form. So for the third time I sent again all the documents to o2.
However, I did not have any return from you. I am leaving Germany one Thursday, so I need a confirmation. As well as cancel my bank account, which is linked to the payment to o2. 
I tried to talk to the hotline and no answer could speak to me in English, except the times when they hung up the phone immediately. And I am trying since last week! 

So please, I have already sent all the documents that were requested by you to cancel my contract due to my move abroad. What is the status of this? Why hasn't the contract been cancelled yet?

Hello @LigiaDeBarros and welcome to our o2 community :-)

I had a look into this and as far as I can see the only thing that was finally missing was the “Abmeldebestätigung”.This has finally arrived so the departement responisble for cancelation will have a look into this and cancel the contract to the earliest possible date.

If you recieved a router from us you can send it back free of charge (inside of germany) via our DSL logistics potral.

I already sent this document (Abmeldebestätigung) last week. Besides having already returned the router to o2 two weeks ago. I already received the confirmation that you received the router.


All the documents that o2 asked me to send were already sent last week. Including the Abmeldung, the confirmation of my new job in Brazil, the certification of my enrollment in my university in Brazil, and even a form to cancel the contract, that an attendant of o2 asked me to send. I have already authorized to be charged the basic fee of 3 months. But so far I received nothing from o2, and I’m leaving Germany and need to cancel my contract with you.

Dear o2, 

 

I don't understand why I don't get any feedback from o2. It's a disregard of this subject in all the ways I try to communicate with o2, be it through the hotline, the chat, and now here in the community. 
In my last contact with o2 I was informed that by Friday I would receive a confirmation of cancellation of the contract and also be charged the 3 fees. However, this did not happen. 
I do not understand the reason for this delay, since I have already sent all the necessary proof that I am no longer living in Germany!


Could someone please inform me of the status of this cancellation?

Good news, your contract will be cancelled on the 7th of october.

Please get back to us here at the End of october, then we can inform you about the last and final invoice
