Change of Mobile sim contract ownership

Hello o2,

I have two mobile SIM contracts and want to change the ownership of one of my SIM contract to my friend because I bought that SIM contract for him. Can you please guide him how to do that.

Hi @mkb999,

transfering a contract to another customer can be done in your Mein o2 profile:

Tarif & SIM-Karte -> Vertrag verwalten -> Vertragsinhaberwechsel
You can also get there by following this link: www.o2.de/mein-tarif/vertragsinhaberwechsel

  • There, you choose the contract you wish to transfer and type in name, surname, and email address of the new owner and send it.
  • The new owner will then receive an email with a link to click on; please keep in mind that you (the current owner) must not be logged in at the time the new owner opens that link.
  • The new owner then fills in his personal information and sends it.
  • Some time later, you'll be informed by email, text message or letter to confirm the transfer was successful.
  • The new owner of your contract will be charged a one-time fee of 29.99 EUR on the upcoming bill.
