I want to request the initiation of porting my O2 number. I went to the O2 store in Offenburg today and they said I need to request this online, and they can not process requests for number porting. Please initiate my number porting request for +49176xxxxxxx

as a prepaid customer you can go to the My o2 app → Menue → Rufnummermitnahme → at the bottom: Rufnummer jetzt freigeben

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.
On our end the number can only be released, so that a different provider can then port the number over. The porting is initiated by the new provider.
How you can release your number is shown in the Screenshot that Sächsin has provided. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
