Availability of IPv4 address

I would like to get a public IPv4 (DHCP-assigned, not static) address to use with various services that are incompatible with IPv6. What do I need to do to get IPv4 enabled at my home?

Moin Moin,

with

  • DSL
You get IPv4 & IPv6 as dual stack for default.
  • Cable
You get IPv6 with IPv4 (4in6) as ds lite and CGN. That can’t be changed.
  • Mobile
    You get IPv4 & IPv6 with CGN.
You could get IPv4 only with a public IPv4 and a APN netpublic for 50€ one time fee.

For private connections / contracts you could only get a dynamic IP Address.

Almost. IIRC, Mobile is IPv4 with CGN and a firewalled public IPv6.

Hello @BigGuyBerlin,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

That is great, that almightyloaf and schluej could already detail you which IPv4 is available with us for which technology 🙂

For which technology do you need an IPv4 address?

Best Regards,

Gerrit
