Yesterday the technician came to activate my new o2 my Home M Flex line. When I connected my o2 router (HomeBox 6641), the info light remains on in red color. I made a factory reset and still the same situation. So I proceed with the instalation and when I am asked to enter the Zugangs PIN, I receive the following message:
I am using the VoIP PIN number provided by o2, but it seems to not work. If I don't proceed with the Zugangs-PIN, the red info light remains on anyways and while is red I receive the following messages:
If I try using the router CD software, I receive always this error:
Is there any other thing that I can do?
Thank you for your help!

The o2 Homebox 6641 was rented by o2 for your contract or did you get it elsewhere?
It is mine, because I had an o2 contract that ended in April 2019. Since then I moved to a new flat and now I have a new contract, but still using the same router as before (which, indeed, was working pretty well).
It can not be yours because o2 doesn't sell any o2 Homebox to any customer. o2 Homeboxes are leased / rented exclusively to the customer and always remain the property of o2. At the end of the contract, they must be returned to o2. The devices are bound to the respective contract via the serial number, otherwise they are useless.
What I meant is that I bought this router externaly (used, not to o2) and I used with my old o2 contract for almost one year until April 2019 without problems. So, the router is mine and is working fine (one year working is more than enough to confirm that). At that time, I did the same procedure as now to activate the contract with the PIN, etc, and everything worked very well.
To repeat myself: The devices are not sold by o2, so you can not buy them anywhere else because the devices are always owned by o2. One can not sell things that do not belong to one. Maybe the serial number was not registered at that time, so you could put the o2 Homebox into operation.
It is unlikely that o2 will provide support for foreign respectively illegally acquired homeboxes. This would also affect the rental business. But try your luck.

Your comment doesn't make any sense for me. I didn't sell anything. Indeed, I received support during my old contract when I need it. If the serial number was not registered, then no one else could registered because nobody else use it since I used it. In any case, I didn't knew that these devices are not sell by o2, but this problem belongs to the contract itself and hopefully not to the device. I read a lot of posts concerning Zugangs-PIN errors and red info light, so it is nothing new. Are you able to support about the problem itself? Have you any recommendation, apart from reseting the router?
The "seller" of your o2 Homebox could not sell you the box because he was not the owner.
The conditions for routers of o2 are clearly stated on the website, in the price list, in the order dialog and in the terms and conditions you accepted with your order. If you don't read or don't care: Your problem.
My recommendation: Rent a router from o2 or elsewhere or buy a router at retail e.g. AVM Fritzbox 7530 - but no provider devices!

Moin Moin @mreigen2 ,
@blablup is right... You had some luck that the homebox works the first time.
If you Rent a car than it will never yours. That’s the same with the home box.
So you should follow the advice blablup gave you...
You could also wait for a admin of O2, if you would like to.

So, if I buy a generic modem/router (Cisco, TP-Link, etc), would it work?
Most of them.
Very nice is AVM 75xx because you just have to enter User Name and Passwort,
the router will auto configer.

I bought a FriztBox 7430 and everything works well now. It was pretty straight foward to configure it, since it has several service providers (including o2) so once you select it, it is almost done.
Thank you!
Thank you!
