Greetings,

Would you please inform me about the DSL standards required in my router to be able to work with my (O2 DSL M FLEX) contract? I have an old router and want to be sure it works with my contract.

Cheers

Hello mesana,
the Speedport model is a version from another provider with a special firmware that was modified to meet the providers needs. It may work with our network but it will definetly need some fiddling with the settings and it may also happen that it does not work, depending on the firmware vesion. Unfortunately we can not provide support with hardware from other providers but I am sure I already read some threads regarding Speedport routers.
You will have the best results with a router from the free market that is not from a provider (and no, please do not buy a used o2 router!) that supports VDSL 2 vectoring.
regards,
Lars

Hello mesana,

it has to be a VDSL router. If you like, you can name the model of your router and we can check if it will be working.

Kind regards

Giulia

Thanks a lot Giulia, my router is Speedport W 723V. I guess it has VDSL in it. Do you also mind asking you if it would work with O2 telephony?
