Hello, before I used prepaid SIM card and one month ago I bought a new phone with a contract and took-over my existing phone number. Now my SIM card doesnt show any signal since date of transfer... Tried restarting phone and to put SIM in another phone.. I was also in O2 shop and the guy told me that "everything is fine, it should work, I don't know why it doesn't, call hotline"...... I can't call hotline since SIM doesnt work. Please help...
Thanks,
Tom

Hi kjdsfhalfkdg,
frist of all, welcome to our community 🙂
It's about the Free M Boost, right? The SIM-card is activated and on the first look everthing looks fine in your data. What kind of note do you get on your phone, when you try to use the SIM-card?
Kind regards, Jelena

Hi!
Your prepaid sim card is from o2?
Your prepaid SIM card is still working?
What do you get for an announcement if you
a) call the prepaid number
b) the number you got with the contract?

Hi Jelena,
thanks for your answer. Yes, it's about Free M Boost. It just cant connect to any network. I can search networks and some pops up (Vodafone, Telekom, o2) but then I get "Network registration failed". I used this SIM card one year on Prepaid just fine.
Maybe this can be the problem:
My original SIM card which I use have card number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx42
But on "Mein o2 Portal" it sais that I use: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx01
But the phone number is the same. So maybe my SIM card that I have is deactivated instead of just transferred to the contract.
Thanks,
Tom

hi @TBCMagic ... yes I was using o2 when I was on prepaid before. I transferred the number on 11.10. but since then SIM doesnt work anymore... I got SMS from o2 one week before transfer: Lieber o2 Kunde, Ihre Runfnummern-Mitnahme zu o2 für Rufnummer ..... wird am 11.10. durchgerügrt.
And no signal on the phone since 11.10.
Look at the previous comment also.
Thanks,
Tom

The SIM-card with the ending -01 is the one, you got with your new contract. It's activated and should be ready for use. Does it work with that one?

The problem is that I didnt get a new SIM card. The girl in o2 shop just gave me the phone and the contract. And said "you can take over phone number on 'mein o2 portal'" what I did. But I didn't know that I should get a new SIM card.
I just looked over everything that I got in o2 shop but yep, no new SIM card in the box.
Btw, since I need a new SIM card anyway, I ordered new now using "Ersatz SIM-Karte bestellen" on 'Mein o2 portal'. But I will be very thankful if O2 can refund me this 24,99€ since I should have got that one for free at the first place...
Thanks,
Tom
