O2 prepaid to O2 postpaid portability

Hi, i had prepaid sim card from o2 and then i bought o2 contract that came with new sim and number. I want to keep the number. I have applied for number portability from my o2 portal, but its been 3 days and what wondering how long does it take?

Hi!

First you need the permission (Opt-in) for porting the number from your prepaid card to your post paid contract. (MNP)
A moderator can set the permission. You will receive an SMS confirming the release.

Then you can re-assign the mnp. Sign in with the mobile phone number of the postpaid contract in the My o2 (preferable use the my o2 App) and assign the mnp again.

How do I get the permission? I already initiated the request for number porting from my o2 portal. Do I need to do something else?

I have just set the opt-in for your prepaid-number so that your prepaid-number will be transferred to your postpaid-contract on 25th February 2019.

So, everything is fine. You just have now to wait for some days.

Hi tobias, thanks for the answer. I got the sms and email regarding the same. I had one more question, since I'm not changing the provider and my previous number was prepaid, would I incur any cost due to change over?
