Hallo,
my router Home Box 6641 is not working properly, it always needs to be restarted. I even called the hotline few months ago and your technician told me that O2 is very much aware of these faulty routers, but he only gave me tips to change few settings in the admin panel (that worked temporarily), but have not offered a router replacement. Is it possible to get a new working hardware?

It's connected by WLAN and it affects all devices connected - you can't use internet, the Internet light starts flashing. Then I have to go to the admin panel and use the Enrichtungassistent. Which usually helps to restore the Internet connection. But this happens quite often. Your technician on the phone gave me a tip to change few settings that might be causing this (something with smartphones and commuters connected at the same time) but this only helped for a while. Is it possible to replace it with a different model that works?

ok, have you test following options ?
- use different names for both wifi networks (2,4 / 5 GHz) or set one of them that you do not use to off
- if you use the 2,4 GHz wifi please change the channal from "auto" to a fixed one between 1 to 11 because some equitment can not work on channel 12 or 13. Also set the mode from "b/g/n" to "n" only
Please remember that you must save after any change (klick on "speichern")

the o2 Home Box has no wireless option activated because its connected to Wireless Router by a LAN cable, sorry I forgot to mention this. There is nothing wrong with WLAN router, it works perfectly. The problem is in O2 Home Box, this one needs to be constantly restarted in order to connect to the Internet.
Do you have a solution to this?

Hi Jogi, sorry for the late response I was travelling. I did several speed tests, just with the LAN cable connected between my computer and O2 box.
It's on average 10.5 mbit down and 0,9 mbit up.It's an old Alice Light contract. I was wondering whether you increase speed for your long term customers? I keep getting offers from your competition and I don't really feel like going through hassle of changing the ISP if it's not necessary.
