Good morning all,
Yesterday the technician came to install the internet, but of course he did not help me to install the router. I open the box and I plug everything. I then wrote the IP address to configure the router, log in and proceed with "quick set up". In here you have to select your internet provider (o2 does not appear so .. other)
then "internet set up" where there is a box for VLAN Tag. If you click it you can write in the next box a number of 4 digits ... and then you have to choose between PPPoE / dynamic / Static.
I do not have any VLAN tag number, and I have selected PPPoE because then you can only give username and password to write (so there i put the ones that i received in the letter from o2)
After all, the internet does not connect .. when i called the technical service, they said i need the 4 digits PIN that they sent me and i do not know if this is related to this VLAN tag or where i am supposed to write it .
So ... until now, i'll receive this PIN in 3 days (no idea where to use it), but i still have no conection ..

dear English Speaker,
the four-digit personal customer key you'll receive, is to legitimate you as yourself wether you want to to call the hotline. It is not for use of your router.
kind regards,
Andrea

Thank you for your help.
Regarding the choose of PPPoE / dynamic / Static... could you give me some information?

is it correct to select as internet provider "other"? Because O2 does not appear on my list
Why O2 does not appear on your list? There did you buy the router? In Germany or did you bring it from outside to Germany?
Hello @EnglishSpeaker ,
I had a look at your DSL connection. It looks stable and shows no signs of connection losses. So it seems you found all necessary information to install the router?
Regards,
Lars
