I have a problem with iPhone 5s (disconnecting from 3g/LTE networks-restart helps only for a while ). Phone was bought in o2 network in december 2016. I visit Apple store in my home country for service but I was informed that 12 months Apple international warranty expired and I should contact directly mobile operator for 24 months EU warranty.
I tried to use your portal for device return:
https://www.repix-plus.com/online_selfcare/OrderCreation/Index#/deviceandcustomersearch
and after IMEI verification I was informed that warranty in no longer valid.
Is there any other way to return phone for service via o2 ?
Best regards

To be honest I doubt that o2 will repair the phone under warranty after more than 22 months, at least not without you providing evidence that the defect was present at the time of purchase (which is necessary after 6 months). Since the repair portal has determined the warranty has expiered: are you sure that the phone was purchased in December 2016? The Iphone 5s was released in September 2013 and I doubt it was still available to buy from o2 over 3 years later.
This iPhone comes from O2 network, it is easy to verify via IMEI or serial numer by the operator 🙂 The problem is that Apple international warranty is valid for 12 months and the same message i received from repix-plus that warranty is for 24 months for all devices except Apple iPhone (we are still in EU and Apple policy is little against EU 24 months regulations)
The problem is that this year I will not visit Germany for sure till the end of this year and travelling only to visit O2 is weak business case 😉

Hi @PeterS2001 ,
thanks for your request.
I am happy to give you the needed information:
Apple gives only a warranty of 12 months. If you would like to get a warranty-solution within 24 months, you have to prove that the phone had already a defect when you bought the phone.
As you tell me that you bought the phone in December 2016 and as you will not come to Germany before the end of December 2018, I suppose that there is no sense of giving a proof of warranty.
If you like to order a new phone, I am happy to help you.
I hope I could help you with this information.
Loving greetings,
Tobias
