Merge DSL and Mobile accounts

Hello all,

Today I opened a new mobile phone contract with O2 (my life is amazing).

Although I was already an O2 customer for my Internet-access/landline contract, a new account has been created, with apparently a landline number in addition to the mobile number.

Yet I gave the guy at the store all the information he needed to have access to my DSL account, and I am sure he understood perfectly that I was already registered.

So here's my question: is it normal to have two different accounts for two services (DSL on the one hand and mobile phone on the other)?
If not, can those two accounts be merged into a single one?
And if it is actually normal, was is this second landline number for?

Thanks in advance
KD

Hi KermittDuss,

it is absolutely normal that you get two account numbers, because the mobile number and your DSL contract are both in 2 separated systems. So, we can not merge them into a single one.

And the landline number for your mobile number is your "homezone" number. People can call you on this number to fixed network conditions. So, when people call you from another fixed network, or landline number, and they have a flatrate for other landline numbers, but not for mobile numbers, they can user your mobile landline number.

Do you understand what I mean? ☺️

Kind regards,

Jessi

Hi Jessica,

thank you very much for your answer. Everything is much more clear now.

About this additional landline number, I think I get what you mean.
So if people call me on this "landline", they will reach my cellphone, right? It's just a way for them to avoid paying a landline-cellphone call.

Another quick question though: I'm thinking about taking the same mobile contract for my girlfriend.
It would be in my name, since I already have this one, so we can have the second for a lower price.
So, just to be sure, I would then have 3 accounts: 1 for the DSL, and 2 for the All-in Blue M contracts, is that right?KD

Kind regards,
KD

Hello @KermittDuss‌,

yes. That is exactly what I wanted to say! ☺️

And yes, that is also right. When you would take the same contract you would get 5€ discount extra on that second contract, because of the combination of these two contracts.

And another yes- you would have then 1 DSL and 2 All-in M contracts. ✅

Kind regards,

Jessica
