Contract Termination

Hello!

I currently have a contract with O2. But when I signed the contract I made it clear that I am temporarily in Germany so I was given the Option to pay 5 Euros each month, but on the Terms that I can terminate the contract whenever I want.

I will be leaving Germany in about two months, I went to an O2 shop the other day and was told that I should send a cancallation letter Via the post. But I was not informed on how exactly the letter should be or what to include with it.

Unfortunately, I recently discovered that many friends of mine have been through the same procedure, and O2 continued to ask Money even after theyleft Germany and sending the cancallation letter. And because I dont want to go through the same thing, I would like to please know the exact Details that should be included, along side any documents

please note that an Abmledung is not possible to be provided at the Moment, as I will be doing it the last couple of weeks. I dont want to get into this loop as O2 needs to be informed on the cancallation before 2 months but the Abmeldung is done on the last couple of weeks.

Ok, we will compare the o2 Free L (2018) and the o2 Free L Flex (2018)

The product data sheet of your contract:



Your contract has a minimum running time of one month and your contract will end after 30 days if you cancel your contract. If you want to terminate your contract, you only need the notice and no other documents (no Abmeldung, nothing).
Here are informations, how you can cancel your contract and there are examples for termination by letter or fax: https://www.o2online.de/service/vertrag-tarif/kuendigung/

Contact terms:
24 months
The contract will automatically be extended for another 12 months if the contract is not terminated before the last 3 months of the contract period.

There is the possibility to terminate the contract prematurely if you leave Germany forever.

To cancel this kind of contract, you need further documents, like Abmeldung
You also have to pay a "penalty" of 3 monthly fees.


I hope you understand the differences and i think you have made the "right" contract for yourself.

    You have a contract with a tariff that ends with the name FLEX?
