Buying mobile phone under MyHandy contract

Few days ago i bought brand new unpacked mobile phone with o2 bill and my mobile contract. I did not know that has been paid. What will happen if the original owner stops paying his bills? My phone (imei) will be blacklisted by o2 or what? Should i contact someone or im "safe" in this situation. Will bank charge his bank account ? Can I use that phone or should it return to and to whom? I can not contact anymore. And of coure i would never buy it if i knew. My excuses for posting in english.

Hello @sharkoon37 dan,

First of all, welcome to our forum. Nice that you have found the way to us. :-)

Wether the original purchaser of the smartphone does not pay it off as agreed, then his contract will be returned to the collection agency. The smartphone itself is not locked or something like that. So you can still use it.
If he does not pay his mobile phone contract, the corresponding SIM card will be blocked. As far as I understand, you have your own mobile phone contract with us, that you pay by yourself, right?
