DSL line can not work

Hello everyone,

I just apply for a new internet connection with O2, however, after the technician come and set up the line, my internet still can not work.

I use my own router to connect, but the light of WAN did not turn on, so that I can not do any setting with it.

I also have some questions about the connection, is the username and password on the welcome letter for the PPPoE settings?

How to fix my WAN problem?

I heard that I need to follow and PM@o2_Stefan?

You need a VDSL router and if you would like to use your phone line you need a VoIP option.

You could use the O2 Homebox or a Fritzbox e.g. 7490 or better or any other VDSL VoIP router.

The nice thing with the frizbox is tha you will find a soulution for (nearly) any problem on the internet.

the fritzbox is not so cheap, but you will get a lot for your money.

If you have any question do not hesitate to ask (only one time).

Can you told us the name from the modem you are using?

I am using wavlink 300 Mbps smart Wi-Fi router.

Sorry I can not find the way to edit my personal data, the phone number is 08561/ 9781443,

i found only a model WL-WN529R2P and this one has no VDSL Modem.


And on the homepage from wavlink i cant find any VDSL or XDSL router.

Just let us know the model number to verify it.

You need a router with VDSL modem.

The WAN Port is just a seprate Ethernet port to connect the WLAN Modem, i would like to say.

Just connect an PC to the WAN Port (right lower coner) if the light turns on it is an ehternet port.

This is exactly the one I am using, so I think I bought the wrong one 

However, due to ur next question, I have tried to connect the WAN line directly to my PC device, but it still have no connection with the internet.

Is Fritzbox 7430 ok for this situation?

I saw the introduction of it on Amazon said that it can provide VDSL/ ADSL line connection.
