DSL langzam

I recently changed to o2 My home M (50Mb/sec)
I use a Fritzbox4790.
The fastest I get is 15~16 Mb/sec.
What is going on.?

Being from Silicon Valley, I am amazed how far Germany is behind regarding these IT matters.

    can you show as a screenshot from Fritzboxsettings "Internet > DSL Information > Übersicht" and "Internet > DSL Information -> DSL" ?

    Hi,

    ok, it seems that your connection ist realized with ADSL so you get a max speed 16 Mbit. To get 50 Mbit you need VDSL. So if in your town no VDSL built up you can´t get more than 16 Mbit.
