Cancellation of DSL moving out of germany

Hi Team,

I want to bequeath germany by 30th Sept, 2019 and I want to cancel contract by 30th Sept 2019 only so I need to send 3 months notice or not? and which document I need to cancel my contract.

It depends on whether you opted for a 2-year contract or a contract with 4 weeks' notice to the end of the month.

If you have chosen a contract with 4 weeks notice to the end of the month, no special documents are needed. You just have to cancel in text form in due time.

If you have chosen a 2-year-contract and you leave Germany before your contract ends regularly, you may cancel your contract with a notice period of 3 months to the end of the month. This notice period starts from the day you move abroad. For the required documents and data you can orient yourself on this form (there is no special form for DSL contracts). That means if you move abroad on 2019-09-30, you still would have to pay for October, November and December.

    Thanks for the information.... One more thing Right now I have opted auto debit option form my bank account so every time amount will debited from my account only after I leave germany my bank account will be closed in one month so in which mode I can do payment?

    you also have the possibility to pay via bank transfer, you will find all necessary data on your invoice.
