Problem Multicard SIMs

Feel free to tell us your problem with your Multi Cards, we will try to help. ☺️

Greetings, Katja

Thanks very much Katja.
Recently I extended contracts that we have with you and upgraded to O2 L with 9GB, in combi with 2 samsung galaxy 8.
SIM Multicard incl. Something went wrong with the initial order and i had to sort out seompaper work with your finance department which was done, everything good.
The new tariffs started  and I recieved a notice that new sims wolud be sent. (the phone order was sorted about a week later.)
Problem is i never received the SIM's although I had a message in mein O2 asking me to aktivate them.....hje

So I got in touch with customer servie explained all to them, and they sent me 2 SIM's that I received.

Next problem, I couldn't activate them, so back onto customer care, explained everything again, and they were able to activate these for me. Good,,,,,,, not quite.

Next problem 2 new SIM's activated, but suddenly the 2 SIM's that I have always had were not working.
What has happened I think is:- Customer care have activated the 2 SIM's I received, the 2 SIM's that I never recieved and deactivated the 2 SIM's I have always had.

Do you follow? sounds complicated, but if you read through I'm sure you will get it... I am getting really frustrated about all of this.

(My collegue is in France at the moment and the SIM in her phone stopped working )

First: Im not working for o2, im a customer like you and most of the people here. ☺️

To summarize:

-for your two contracts new sims were activated (in order to be additional cards, not to replace the cards which are actually used)

-now both old cards arent working anymore

Questions:

-did you restart the cellphones?

-the new cards are working?

-which cards are shown as active cards in your account (the new, the old, all)?

-->o2.de-->Meino2-->Tarif & SIM-Karte-->SIM-Karte verwalten-->PIN & PUK einsehen

Hi Katja, sorry I thought you worked for O2. (excuse me for that)
Answers:
-restart Yes
- The 2 New cards that I received Yes
-In account it shows :-the 2 newest that I recieved
the 2 that were never recieved,
                                   -the old ones have dissapeared.

I still get this 2 times for each phone number in MEINE O2 asking me to activate, I have no idea what these are referring to? as there are no SIM numbers against them.

Still follow....

Okay Katja, my summary.
I had problems and asked O2 custoer service to help with solution.
-I asked please aktivate these 2 SIM cards, for multicard (I named the SIM numbers)
- They activated these 2 sim card numbers, 2 sim card numbers that I had never recieved, and deactivated the original ones I was still using.

Hi Katja,
What do you think I have to do to get my current SIM's working again?
Regards
Dave

Hi @dmac,

a bit confusing the whole situation .

Deactivated SIM-cards cannot be reactivated, so we cannot fix that problem "remote".

At august 11th customer care send some replacement/extention-SIMs to you.

Did you received them?

Your actual configuration is/should be:

phonenumber last 3 digitsSIM-card-number active , last 4 digitsSIM-card-number orderd as extension, last 4 digits (not active yet)
91974503189
95074193163
4761863---

If the correct SIM is in your phone but theres still no network, please restart the device once.

Best regards,

Emanuel

Hallo Dave Here.ere

The table is excactly correct. I received the 2 SIM cards (the letters are dated 14 Aug.- I assume that is the 11th that you are referring to)
The end numbers 3189 and 3163
I had to wait till tomorrow morning at 10am, you were going to call me to help with

aktivate as multicards then all is solved.

Hi @dmac,

great, good news 😀.

I can activate the new SIM-cards as extensions for your contracts right now as shown in the table, if you want.

The only thing you need to do would be to restart your devices afterwards.

Best regards,

Emanuel

Hallo Emanuel, I have not been called this morning to activate these 2 cards, are you able to call me to arrange so nothing goes wrong...
(the last time someone at O2 activated it cancelled the 2 I was using)

are you able to call me?

regards

Dave

the number finishing on 950

Hi @dmac,

we cannot call you, sorry.

But i'm sure we will activate ist the right way 😉.

Should the new simcards be activated as extension like in the table (after activation 2 SIMs for each contract)?

phonenumber last 3 digitsSIM-card-number active , last 4 digitsSIM-card-number orderd as extension, last 4 digits (not active yet)
91974503189
95074193163

Hi @dmac,

The active SIM-cards will loose the networlsignal for a very short time.

Please restart your devices in about 10 minutes, otherwise you will have no dataconnection or no network at all.

Some hints for multicards ☺️:

You can change the settings for you cards via "mein o2 - Tarif & SIM--Karte" oder "mein o2"-App.

Also you can easily and fast manage your SIMs via USSD-/GSM-Codes directly from a phone with at least one SIM of the multicardset.

All codes should be typed in the phoneapp 😉:

*121# gives you an overview wich simcard receives calls (every "active" card receives calls)

*122# shows you the cardnumber of the used sim in the set and name of the currently used card

*124# deactivates/activates receiving calls at the used card

you can also specify that code like *124*SIM-card# and set any card of the set remotly (helps if your sim is in an iPad for example). The specification of the USSD-code works with any other USSD-multicard-code.

E.g. deactivation of receiving calls at simcard 2 would be: *124*2#

*125# sets the currently used sim as receiver for SMS and enables mVoLTE-functionallity at that card if supported by the phone

.*126# sets which card receives MMS

*127# sets wich card is used for LBS (location based services, like cityrouting for emergencycalls or if you call a cab via shortcode)

Best regrads,

Emanuel
