Move my DSL contract to the new tenant

Hello,

 

I am moving abroad and I need to transfer my DSL contract to the next tenant in my apartment here in Germany. I understand there is a form to fill in, but I cannot find it anywhere!!

Please can anyone help!!

There is no form. If your next tenant wants to take over your o2 DSL contract including your telephone number for a fee, you have to order the contract owner change via "Mein o2". If you have received a router from o2, you must then hand over the device to the new contract holder.

    I have now initiated the process.

    Not sure what you mean when you say

    I mean, the router is simply going to stay in the apartment… why would I need to hand it over to new tenant? They are moving in the same apartment where the router currently is, so of course, they will be the new router owners ! :D

    Or did you mean something different..?

    A router from o2 is a moveable object which is provided for use to the contract partner by o2 for the duration of the contract. The router must be returned to o2 when the contract ends. It is not your personal property and may not be kept by you or sold to someone else, for example. In the event of a change of contract holder, all rights and obligations under the contract are transferred to the new contract holder. This includes the o2 rental router.
