How to return mobile devices to O₂

​Sometimes you order a new smartphone or other device and after delivery you realize you don't like it after all. Or perhaps you intended to give it to someone as a gift, but it turns out not to be the right thing.

This article will explain how you can easily return the smartphone, tablet or other device. 

Submit a cancellation

All devices ordered by phone or in our O₂ Online Shop with monthly installments (O₂ my Handy) or a one-time payment are subject to an unconditional 14-day right of revocation (from the delivery date).

Your revocation must reach us within 14 days of delivery.

You can use the cancellation form that you received with your order confirmation by email. You can also find the form online: Widerrufsbelehrung der Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG für Warenlieferungen. Please send us the form by email or letter and/or include it with your return.

Alternatively, you can submit your revocation informally, either by email to widerruf@cc.o2online.de or by letter to Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Kundenbetreuung, 90345 Nürnberg, Germany.

Simply returning the item to the Logistics Center within the specified timeframe will also automatically cancel your o2 My Handy contract.

Return your mobile phone, tablet or other devices

Register your return of the device within the 14-day period at the O₂ Logistics Center.

Please have your order number ready for registration. Alternatively, you can also enter the number from your delivery note or the device's IMEI. You will also need your postal code.

In the Logistics Center, you can download and print the return slip, including the shipping label, or have it sent to you by email. Return shipping is free of charge via DHL. We will keep you updated on the status of your return via email or SMS; you can also view it in the Logistics Center.

Please return the goods complete (including accessories), in their original packaging, and in unused and undamaged condition. Delete all personal data on the device beforehand and reset it to factory settings. Any device locks must be removed.

Please also include the return slip, which is generated at the end of the return registration process.

Refund of payments already made (i.e. down payment or installments)

If you have already made payments or had a payment debited from your account, we will refund these amounts to the account linked to your O₂ My Handy contract after your return has been successfully processed. This also applies to shipping costs.

If your bank details have changed in the meantime, you can update them in My o2 or the My o2 app.

Hi,

 

For me,Return button is disabled now. How I can return my O2 Homespot device as I am planning to leave Germany permanently.
